Pacific Daylight Time

If you know me at all, you know how incredibly happy I was for Roger Federer on Sunday. Finally he has won the French Open! Finally he has tied Pete Sampras' record of 14 Grand Slam titles. I heard that Pete Sampras was texting Roger wishing him luck, telling him he would win,that he's the best ever and he deserves it, etc. Pete's a good sport--and he knows what's good for tennis!

I am so excited for Federer, and I agree with Pete: Federer did deserve it! And he has worked very hard for it as well. I bet he appreciates it even more now than he would have had he simply cruised to victory as it seemed he would when he looked unstoppable. I am not saying he didn't work hard before, nor am I saying that he didn't deserve it before, but after the year or so that he's had, this win had GOT to be sweeter to him than it would have been 2 or 3 years ago.

I would also venture to say that the pressure is off of him, and he is even more dangerous than ever.

Congratulations, Roger! You're an inspiration, and...YOU ROCK!!!!! =)
